PALO ALTO, Oct. 23, 2019 -- VoxPop Games, a disruptive game distribution and development startup focused on connecting underserved communities in gaming, recently presented at the Global Capital Summit (GCS). A member of F50 Elevate’s first cohort, VoxPop Games was selected from among 200 applicants to present to an audience filled with hundreds of investors, angels, and fellow entrepreneurs. VoxPop’s presentation covered aspects of the company from its business model and value propagation, to is core tenants and vision for the future. “Independent game producers are finally getting a seat at the table,” said Charles Yu, the Founder/CEO of VoxPop Games, “VoxPop is grateful to represent them to the vibrant, Silicon Valley leadership and investment space! This is a giant step towards the true democratization of gaming.”
In parallel with their GCS 2019 presentation, VoxPop Games also announced new additions to its executive team and advisory board.
Marc Anthony Rodriguez joins VoxPop Games as a Co-Founder and the Chief Operating Officer, where his duties include developer partner acquisition, product operations and community outreach. In particular, on-boarding streamers and developers is vital to the distribution platform. Rodriguez comes to VoxPop from Grummelwrks, the consultation and talent discovery platform, he founded back in 2006, where he had significant previous experience working closely with indie developers from around the globe. Rodriguez has held several senior roles in major gaming companies such as Rockstar Games, Capcom, and Perfect World Entertainment (Arc Games). An industry veteran and leader, Rodriguez is a TEDx speaker, presenting his theories of gamification on-stage. “Marc and I both were independent developers,” said Charles Yu, the Founder/CEO of VoxPop Games, “Marc maintains strong ties with the independent game community and is an industry veteran. VoxPop Games is fortunate to gain his wisdom and his partnership.”
Roger Sanford has also joined the VoxPop Games advisory board. An entrepreneur and renowned marketing expert, Sanford has been the CEO and CMO for multiple Silicon Valley companies, currently at Crunch Mediaworks. He is the CEO of RSG/CEO Wingman, a company dedicated to training and connecting new entrepreneurs worldwide. He is a frequent University lecturer, but “Not quite TEDx. Yet.” Sanford said, jokingly. “Roger brings deep experience to our team as a successful entrepreneur, scholar and marketer,” said Charles Yu, “We are happy to welcome Roger to the advisory board – his marketing insights and industry knowledge are extremely applicable.”
